The role
We are currently looking for motivated and passionate Assistant in Nursing (AIN) to join our supportive and friendly team at our PenrithFacility located in the Penrith Western Sydney on a Full time / Part Time / Casualbasis.
Shifts hours are available for morning, afternoon, and nights. We are particularly seeking reliable candidates with the availability and flexibility to work weekdays AND weekends as required for our available shifts
The Role
As an AIN Cert IV / Cert III, you will provide individualised residents care and support that enhances our resident's wellbeing. Ensuring delivery of the highest quality of care, while maintaining an optimal level of dignity, respect, comfort, and quality of life for Residents
- Assist in the delivery of the following direct care activities as allocated by Registered Nurse
- Residents individual personal care
- Repositioning, pressure area and skin care
- Assistance with toileting
- Taking and documenting of patient vital observations
- Change and make up occupied and unoccupied beds
- Report all Residents observation to the appropriate Registered Nurse
- Ensure at all times that the safety of the patient, self, other staff and others is not compromised.
- A demonstrated commitment to observing infection control procedures in all areas of practice.
- Promote and maintain a clean, comfortable and safe environment for residents, staff and visitors
About You
- AIN Nursing or an undergraduate nursing student currently enrolled in RN or EN Tertiary Nursing program
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills (literacy skills - reading, writing and comprehension)
- Experience in working with people of culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
- Understanding of teamwork and knowledge of team member role
- Strong computer skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Empathy and patience
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (Essential for Aged Care and Disability Facilities)
- Current Medication Administration (desirable but not essential)
- Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination
