The Division of Cancer Services is looking for Permanent Full Time/Part Time Assistants in Nursing to support the service at the new Satellite Hospital at Eight Mile Plains. The Assistant in Nursing (AIN) assists and supports the Registered Nurse (RN) in the provision of direct/indirect person-centred care within the Division of Cancer Services including satellite centres duties as required. The AIN is responsible for providing nursing care in a professional, safe and compassionate manner as a member of the Division of Cancer Services including satellite centres healthcare team according to their education and competence.

The aim of the Metro South Health Cancer Care Facilities Division of Cancer Services is to provide exemplary patient care for our Haematology/Oncology Ambulatory Care patients within the framework of the Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) Nursing Services Professional Practice Model (PPM) in a supportive environment utilising a coordinated multidisciplinary approach.
The present service includes:
- A 9-chair satellite service at Eight Mile Plains Satellite Hospital is operated by the Division of Cancer Services. This service is opened from 0800 to 1700 Monday to Friday exclusive of public holidays.
- Providing Oncology / Haematology services to Metro South Health Service District and surrounding Districts.
