The Family Owned and Operated Normanby Hotel is currently looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hospitality focused person.
Working under the General Manager, as Assistant Manager you will be responsible for the general operation of a multi-faceted venue with great bars, food, gaming, functions & entertainment.
This will be an opportunity for someone that likes to be busy and learn more about the business and strategic aspects of running venues.
You will assist in the overall operation of the venue in line with the needs of the venue and the direction of the GM. This will include creating procedures, developing teams, coming up with innovative ideas. This diverse role will find you working across entertainment, operations, reporting, gaming etc and hone your leadership skills.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in a Duty Manager or Assistant Managers role
- Strong compliance and industry knowledge
- Good presentation and attention to detail
- Current RSA/RSG/RMLV and Approved Managers License
- A high level of gaming experience
- Ability to professionally supervise, train and direct staff
- High service standards & experience in a high-volume bistro
- Sound food and beverage product knowledge
- Natural leadership skills that motivate staff to perform
- Ability to work autonomously & be trustworthy
- Available for a 7 day roster inclusive of nights and weekends.
