Assist in leading the talented team at Wine Merchant in the role of Assistant Manager. A fantastic wine-focused venue with a mix of retail and wine bar attributes. Located in the State Buildings precinct, this venue provides an outstanding array of local and international wines and a Modern-Australian food offering. This role will work alongside the current management team, with exposure to multiple connections with wine makers and industry professionals.
About the Role
- An award-winning, wine focused venue in the State Buildings Precinct
- Assist and collaborate on the wine program
- Lead alongside the Venue Manager in setting service standards, and hands-on involvement in all aspects of the operation
- Manage the continuous training and development program for staff
- Supported by the wider State Buildings directors
About You
- Exceptional food, beverage and wine knowledge, highly motivated and elevated management skills
- Strong wine focus with experience in a Sommelier or similar role
- Industry expertise will include strong business acumen, with forward thinking leadership prowess to guide and support this team of professionals.
- Experience of managing high-quality teams
- Desire to continually drive the standards within the hospitality industry.
