About This Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for an Associate Lecturer to develop their teaching practice that enables student learning through Work Integrated Learning (WIL) experiences. The successful candidate will engage in internal collaborations that expand their teaching expertise and profile and will engage with the School’s external partners to create meaningful WIL opportunities for our students.
Key responsibilities will include:
Undertake teaching, facilitation, and examination of undergraduate, honours, and/or postgraduate coursework students in the Public Health area.
Contribute to the curriculum by supporting the development of programs offered in the School, including course design, preparation of teaching materials, and assessment.
Facilitate our WIL offerings through engagement with external partners and supporting our students through their experience.
Implement pedagogies that are effective for specific student cohorts, including appropriate use of educational technologies.
Strengthen student engagement and student experience through collaboration and the provision of high-quality service to students, including academic consultation and advice.
Gather evidence of teaching effectiveness to improve the quality of courses and teaching and engage in professional development to enhance teaching effectiveness.
Engage in educational collaborations to document and disseminate good teaching practices in the unit.

This is a part-time (0.6%), continuing (permanent) position. At Academic level A, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $74,308.68 - $99,426.59, plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be up to $86,941.16 - $ $116,329.11 annually. As this role is covered by an Enterprise Agreement, you will also receive regular remuneration increases – at least once a year.

About You
Evidence of high-quality university teaching skills or contributions to teaching in Public Health under the mentorship of established academics.
An emerging teaching profile in Public Health with evidence of impact on student learning.
Participation in activities to develop teaching expertise in the discipline.
Experience in development and implementation of WIL activities at the university level
Well-developed communication, interpersonal and consultative skills, together with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in teaching and learning and to liaise with external partner organisations.
A profile of professional expertise that complements and/or supplements the expertise that currently exists within the School and the broader University
