Associate Rail Engineer - Flexible working hours and working from home options - Melbourne CBD

Currently, they are seeking an Associate Rail Engineer to join their team in Melbourne. You will be working on multiple major projects.

Roles and Responsibilities include:
- Working within multidisciplinary rail infrastructure teams in the development of urban, regional and resource rail projects.
- Initiate, manage, and supervise engineering assignments on projects that meet project requirements.
- Perform specific engineering tasks such as, Ensure that the project scope is clear and that changes to the scope comply with project change management processes.
- Assist with the preparation of project documentation such as proposals, estimates, budgets and schedules.
- Conduct or contribute to studies and recommend actions.
- Prepare and/or oversee the production of detailed designs and drawings, specifications, data, calculations and reports.
- Provide significant input during rolling stock procurement, design, manufacture and commissioning activities, such as writing Technical Specifications and Manufacturer Tender Technical Evaluations.
- Provide technical support, supervision and advice to the discipline and project teams.
- When responsible for a team, Outline project requirements, assign tasks and supervise the team
- Communicate effectively with the Railways Team, its clients, prospective clients and other project stakeholders and make presentations as required.
- Working within multidisciplinary rail infrastructure teams in the development of urban, regional and resource rail projects.
- Managing the integration of rolling stock with other rail elements in both brownfield and greenfield projects.
- Engineering design calculations using industry leading software to adequately address the project requirements; and supports and models HSE initiatives.
Experience Required:
- Previous experience with rail software packages.
- An ability to travel interstate and internationally.
- Effective management skills and experience of management on major projects.
- Multiple years experience on complex rail projects.
- A recognised engineering degree.
- A double degree in business, finance or economics is advantageous although not a prerequisite qualification and chartered engineering status with EA or equivalent or working towards.
- Relevant years of Consulting experience in a seller doer role; and extensive experience in Rail Engineering.
