THE OPPORTUNITY
An exciting opportunity has become available for an Automation and Controls Engineer to join us at Bayswater. You will be maintaining, optimising and innovating automation control systems and robotics in the plant, to align with Industry 4.0 standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist controls and automation projects from inception to implementation
- Install, configure, update and maintain automation controls systems, inc. PLCs, DCS, HMIs and industrial robots
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to automation control equipment and robotic systems
- Improve existing controls and automation process
- Provide technical support and training to production
- Stay informed about advancements in automation control technologies and robotics
- Support the implementation of our Industry 4.0 rollout
- Other duties and projects as required
ABOUT YOU
- Degree qualified in Robotics / Mechatronics / Electrical Engineering
- Extensive experience in automated and robotic systems
- Proficient in robotic programming language (E.g. Fanuc TP), PLC and SCADA programming
- Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement practices
- Outstanding communication and time management skills
- Excellent problem-solving and project management skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, inc. overtime and weekends as required
