As an Automotive Service Advisor, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our clients receive top-quality service and leave satisfied.
Role OverviewAs an Automotive Service Advisor, you’ll be the face of our business, representing us to our valued customers. Your primary responsibilities include managing the workshop workload, coordinating with technicians, and providing exceptional customer service. Let’s dive into the details:
Key Responsibilities:Customer Experience Management:
- Listen attentively to customers’ accounts of issues and symptoms to understand their concerns.
- Perform thorough inspections to narrow down the cause of automotive problems.
- Verify warranty, insurance, or contract coverage for service.
- Calculate and provide customers with accurate estimates for resolving issues.
- Clearly explain the repair process to clients.
Order Preparation:
- Draft repair orders with all relevant information gathered during interactions with customers.
- Collaborate with supervisors, repair technicians, and the team to ensure positive and efficient resolutions for clients.
Sales and Record Keeping:
- Maximize sales and gross profit opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and service details.
- Build and nurture a loyal customer base.
- Passion for Automotive: You genuinely love all things automotive and thrive in this industry.
- Experience: A minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on experience as a service advisor in a mechanical workshop or dealership.
- Social Media Savvy: Comfortable with video and photo documentation.
- Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication and customer connection abilities.
- Commitment to Excellence: Strive for high-quality service and teamwork.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- Curiosity and Drive: Hunger for knowledge and continuous skill improvement.
- Driver’s License: Valid manual driver’s license.
- Industry Exposure: Experience in a similar sales/management role is essential; exposure to the automotive industry is preferred but not mandatory.
- Customer Service: Top-level customer service skills.
- Communication: Good communication skills.
- Time Management: High-level time management skills.
- Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with Mechanic Desk A Bonus
