About the Role:
WorkPac are currently seeking an Autonomous Fleet Controller based on site to commence work as soon as possible. This position will offer an 8/6 roster, FIFO from Perth. This position will be a site based role and be for 12 months in duration with competitive rates available for the successful applicant.
Key Responsibilities will include:
• Operate the mine’s fleet management system and correctly and efficiently dispatch mining equipment;
• work closely with system development team to balance the system development needs with material movement shifts plan;
• monitor the Machine health and help coordinate the maintenance and operation of the systems;
• ensure all required information is collected, inputted and communicated in an accurate and timely manner;
• assist with projects relating to the monitoring and automation of the mine processes;
• undertaking and managing mining control related projects;
• participate in reliability process improvements as appropriate; and
• propose cost and operational efficiencies initiatives.
• Coordinates machinery, equipment and people to achieve targets and to serve as the central communications point.
• Accountable for optimising their segment to ensure production targets are achieved.
• Ensures effective and efficient operation of multiple operating assets.
• Prioritises operational activities based on the ‘Plan of the day’ and site conditions.
• Assists in contingency planning in case of unplanned events.
• Communicates effectively with stakeholders along the value chain.
• Actively pursue productivity opportunities when they arise.
Skills & Experience Required:
• Minimum 12 months experience with surface mining operations
• Experience working in a mine control room environment.
• Desired experience - FMS application experience Wenco, Komatsu Modular/Frontrunner, Caterpillar MineStar, desirable
• Literacy with using spreadsheets, databases, and word processing applications.
• Desired experience - 1 year utilising (in a controlling capacity) Wenco or equivalent product (Modular Dispatch, Caterpillar MineStar)
• Experience in a controller role managing mining equipment assignments.
