Job description
The Role Our client is currently looking for expressions of interest for a Night shift Fleet Controller for Mon - Fri working 10:00pm - 5:00am. The main duties of this role are oversight of nightly pickups and deliveries, optimising fleet utilisation while ensuring the customers service level requirements are met. You will also be managing resource allocation to ensure delivery of a safe, reliable and sustainable service to our customers. Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring scheduled pickups and deliveries, updating customer's and relevant personnel promptly of inability to achieve planned requirements
- Monitoring agreed pickup / delivery times to meet customer service demands and enable fleet resource optimisation
- Ensuring compliance with legislative and regulatory standards, codes of practice, company policies and procedures
- Allocating drivers and equipment to achieve work requirements within branch budget
- Ensuring transportation of dangerous goods is carried out in accordance with the Dangerous Goods Code
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as a Fleet Controller working Night Shift
- Sound knowledge of Chain of Responsibility legislative requirements
- Understanding of the Dangerous Goods Code
- Demonstrated experience working with the national rail line haul system, WA Road Transport legislation, regulations and permit network
- Perth Metro pickup and delivery fleet operations experience
- Excellent problem solving, decision making and time management
