Our Client, Rise The Bakehouse in Biloela, is looking to employ BAKER/PASTRYCOOK in multiple positions for the busy venue in Queensland. The positions are on a full-time basis with a salary ranging from 60-80K AUD per annum plus superannuation, which will be negotiable to the right candidate.
You will be required to do the following duties:
- Preparing a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread etc., following traditional and modern recipes
- Creating new and exciting desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of customers
- Kneading, maturing, cutting, moulding, mixing and shaping dough and pastry goods
- Monitor stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar etc. and make appropriate orders within budget
- Glazing buns and pastries, and decorating cakes with cream and icing
- Maintain a lean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards
- Guide and motivate pastry assistants and bakers to work more efficiently
- Identify staffing needs and help recruit and train personnel
- Emptying, cleaning and greasing baking trays, tins and other cooking equipment.
- Creating and decorating pastries.
- Coordinating the forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning and cooling of batches of bread, rolls and pastry products
To be considered for this role you should:
- Be willing to relocate if you are interstate or in other cities.
- Be available on both days at weekends and be able to work split shifts.
- Proven experience as Pastry Cook, baker or relevant role.
- Certificate in culinary arts, pastry-making, baking or relevant field
- Have at least 3 years of work experience as a Pastry Cook/ Baker.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Have Australian work rights.
