Bar Manager

Bodriggy Brewing Co is looking for a hospitality leader at one of Melbourne's busiest brewpubs in Abbotsford.

About the business:

Bodriggy is a fast paced, large multifaceted brewpub and music venue located on lower Johnston street (LoJo) Abbotsford. With 3 bars including: Stingrays a shish cocktail bar upstairs, An iconic front bar and take away shop as well as a 13 meter long main bar. All our beers are made in house including limited release beers. While we focus on beer we have a strong backbar selection and a specially designed cocktail list for a great experience within the venue. With a strong music program including weekly DJs, bands and bi- annual festivals we push to create an experience to exceed guest expectations.

We are open 7 days a week with a fully functioning kitchen. Our menu focuses on quality Mexican cuisine with South American influences in a casual setting.  One of these roles could be perfect for the right person

About the role & Who we are looking for:

Bar Manager Role:

At Bodriggy we believe this is a unique and wonderful position for an up-and-coming Bar Manager. We are looking for someone with raw talent, a great attitude towards the job, someone who is going to grab the role by two hands and give it a red-hot crack. We need someone who wants to take the next step in their hospitality career. We are looking for someone who can manage multiple bars with the ability to help grow, mentor, and raise the standards of the team while having fun and creating an even better working environment. We are looking for someone who can handle working in a fast pace, late nights and on the weekends during our busiest times.

Skills and experience

• Two years' experience as a Bar Manager in a similar sized venue 
• Passion for the industry
• Drinks menu design and development
• Extensive knowledge of beers, wines, cocktails, and current beverage trends
• Strong people management and coaching skills to lead a high energy team
• Experience running large beverage programs
• Maintaining a controlled inventory will be a key focus including invoice data entry & Stocktaking
• Strong computer literacy
• Team-orientated while being Outgoing, personable & friendly
• Creative flair
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
