Senior Associates are involved with the development, structuring and financing of transactions and regularly attend both external and internal meetings, negotiations and due diligence sessions.Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and execute Real Estate investments in Asia-Pacific, with focus in Australia.
- Responsible for the day-to-day operational management of Blackstone’s existing Real Estate portfolio in the country and also in the region.
- Perform market research and valuation analyses of prospective investment opportunities in different Real Estate sectors, including office, shopping malls, warehouses, and hotels.
- Identify and analyze trends in the industry and recommend asset management strategies and opportunities.
- Act as point person for the business, work with senior management and coordinate analyst responsibilities. Proactively pass own market knowledge on to the junior colleagues.
- Perform extensive due diligence on each transaction, including travelling to the properties, meeting with management, coordinating with various advisors, and formulating investment strategies and business plans.
- Prepare written analyses and evaluations of investment opportunities for Blackstone’s Real Estate Private Equity Group’s investment committee.
- Participate in execution of transactions, including negotiations of contracts and agreements with sellers and financing banks.
- Develop and maintain relationships with portfolio companies / JV partners / operating partners external asset managers to ensure maximum investment returns on assets in the portfolio.
- Build portfolio companies / JVs including hiring of senior management including the CEO, CFO and heads of various functions.
- Work closely with the regional and global asset management teams in managing current investments, including analyzing potential refinancing and exit opportunities. role will also entail working closely with other Blackstone internal stakeholders including portfolio management, finance, legal and compliance, institutional client services.
- At least 5-7 year of relevant experience and thorough understanding in Real Estate either acquisition or asset management.
- Strong analytical skills and detail oriented. Has strong project management, financial and analytical skills.
