They work with some of Australia's most dynamic privately owned businesses and SMEs across a diverse range of industries.
The Experienced Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and contributing to the financial well-being for a diverse client list.
The opportunity to work predominately from home (all 5 days!), with the ability to come to the office for the rare client meetings.
Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping/transaction processing
- Account reconciliations – Bank, Debtors, Creditors etc.
- Manage payroll processing and associated records, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Preparing BAS, IAS, and PAYG payment summaries
- Introducing systems, efficiencies, automation and processes for the benefit of improving the overall value for clients.
- Liaise with clients to answer queries and provide financial insights as required.
- General practice matter responsibilities including wages, super, set up client accounts, Debtors and assisting accounting staff
Qualifications, Skills & Experience Required:
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar practice (in Australia)
- Strong understanding of Australian payroll regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Xero and MYOB both essential) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Strong commercial acumen
- Efficient time management skills, highly dependable and thrives as part of a team.
