We are a long established, small but dynamic accounting practice. We are passionate about helping small businesses with turnovers less that $5 million. We assist over 200 small businesses, covering many different industries, with their accounting and tax obligations. We like to help out the little people / under dogs.
Qualifications & experience
- A minimum of 3 years experience in bookkeeping, STP, BAS preparation and managing superannuation obligations.
- Advanced experience with Xero.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Hubdoc, Dext and Payroller an advantage.
- Good communication skills with both clients and accountants.
- Must be good at multi-tasking, problem solving and time management.
- Must have the ability to work unsupervised and have good attention to detail.
- Must be highly dependable and able to thrive as part of our team.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Assisting clients with their management accounting systems including Xero, Payroller, Dext and Hubdoc.
- Assisting new clients with the setting up of Xero, Payroller, Hubdoc etc.
- Provide Xero training and bookkeeping assistance to clients attempting to do their own bookkeeping.
- Reviewing client Xero files to ensure that the clients have been consistent and accurate with their bookkeeping.
- Communicating with our accountants any issues or concerns with the clients accounts.
- Answering incoming phone calls when receptionist is inundated or unavailable.
- Preparation of Business Activity Statements.
- Processing payroll, superannuation and end of financial year requirements.
- Reconciliation of bank accounts, debtors, creditors and intercompany loan accounts.
