The Role

We are seeking a Bookkeeper to join our team.   The successful candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be a true all-rounder.  With a can-do attitude, flexible approach to work and a willingness to learn, you work well both autonomously and within a team environment.  

Responsibilities include: 

• Assisting clients with their bookkeeping software needs. 
• Liaising with the ATO
• Preparation and lodgement of BAS and IAS returns
• End of month processing and reporting
• Assisting clients with recording day to day financial transactions in their accounting software
• Wage, Single Touch Payroll and general payroll processing
• Assisting clients in transitioning to automating cloud software systems including training

Key requirements for the role:

• Proven experience preferably in public practice bookkeeping
• An in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe and accounting software – Xero, QuickBooks Online and MYOB
• Demonstrable experience of ATO portal, payroll processing and up-to-date knowledge of GST and BAS/IAS reporting
• Confident in a client-facing role, ability to multi-task with strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritise workloads and meet deadlines 
• Certificate IV in Accounting & Bookkeeping is advantageous.
