As we continue to expand our portfolio, we are seeking a talented and motivated Bookkeeper/Accounts Payable Manager to join our team on a part-time basis.
Job Description:
You will play a support role in helping manage some of the financial aspects of our property development projects. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, analysing financial data, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Your expertise in financial management will contribute to our success in delivering outstanding property developments.
Who we are looking for:
You have previous experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role with a strong background in the building and/or property development industries. You will be working closely with the Operations Manager to handle all things finance related.
Responsibilities:
- Set up supplier accounts, processing invoices and ensuring account details are accurate and up-to-date
- Performing monthly supplier statement reconciliations across all accounts
- Working with the construction team to provide regular costing updates
- General Accounts Payable and receivable admin
- Working within the wider team to ensure accuracy across accounts data
- Set up new customer accounts and process invoices as required
- Build and maintain great rapport with company staff and clients
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Proven experience in financial management, preferably within the construction or property development industry.
- Strong knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and best practices.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, including JobPac, Xero, Excel, QuickBooks, or similar programs.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
