Job description

Are you a detail-oriented individual with a passion for numbers and organizational efficiency? We are seeking a dynamic and reliable Bookkeeper and Admin Assistant to join our team at KR Accounts. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys managing financial records, ensuring accuracy, and providing administrative support to contribute to the smooth operation of our business.

The Role:

Bookkeeping:

  • Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software (99% based within Xero).
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
  • Reconcile bank statements and monitor financial discrepancies.

Administrative Support:

  • Assist with general office tasks and provide administrative support.
  • Manage and organize documentation, invoices, and receipts.
  • Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and inquiries.
  • Coordinate and schedule appointments and meetings.
  • Social Media Management including replying to Dm's, comments and general engagement

Payroll:

  • Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations and reporting.

Communication:

  • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with vendors and clients.
  • Keep management informed of financial status and relevant updates.

About You:

Experience: Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role. Familiarity with accounting software and an understanding of financial principles. Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or Accounting is an advantage. 

Detail-Oriented: Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate and high-quality work.

Organizational Skills: Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, excellent time management skills, and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. 

Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Technology Proficiency: Experience with Accounting Software (ie: Xero) and Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of Karbon is an advantage.

Integrity: Trustworthy and capable of handling sensitive financial information with confidentiality.
