Position Overview:
We're on the lookout for a reliable, detail-oriented individual to join us immediately. As our Bookkeeper, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health of both our businesses while providing high-level support to our 2 directors. From managing accounts payable and receivable, lodging payroll and BAS’s and assisting with administrative tasks, you'll be integral to our day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle accounts payable and receivable for both our financial advice firm and wine bar
- Assist with payroll processing during absences to ensure smooth operations
- Lodging Activity Statements
- Regularly liaise with our Accountant and other team members for financial insights
- Reconcile accounts, manage cash flow, and liaise with our bank for seamless transactions
- Prepare annual reports and assist with EOFY reporting to maintain financial transparency
- Support directors with financial analysis and decision-making
- Coordinate directors schedules, meetings, and travel arrangements
- Assist with drafting correspondence, reports, and presentations
- Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Essential Qualities and Experience:
- Highly organised with excellent time management skills
- Proficient in XERO and Microsoft Office
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a multi-faceted business environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Clear and open communication skills with a high level of integrity
- Ability to work autonomously and prioritise tasks effectively
- Previous experience with payroll duties (desirable but not essential)
- Previous experience with lodging Activity Statements (desirable but not essential)
Remuneration:
A market leading base salary of between $75,000 – $85,000 per annum + super, depending on experience.
