Recently we have expanded our service offering to include bookkeeping and we are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Bookkeeper to join our team on a permanent basis, working 25 hours per week over 5 days, in a hybrid role, working from our Mitcham Office, on site with our valued clients and from home when appropriate.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Experienced Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and contributing to the financial well-being for a diverse client list. Key responsibilities include:
- Bookkeeping: Accurately record financial transactions, maintain ledgers, and reconcile accounts.
- Payroll: Manage payroll processing and associated records, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- BAS and Taxation: Prepare and assist with BAS lodgements
- Client Communication: Liaise with clients to answer queries and provide financial insights as required.
- Process: Introducing systems, efficiencies, automation and processes for the benefit of improving the overall value for clients.
Requirements:
- 3-4 years of experience as a bookkeeper within a public-practice accounting or bookkeeping firm
- Proficiency in accounting software (Xero and MYOB both essential) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of Australian payroll regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Effective communication skills for client interactions and internal collaboration.
- Prior experience with Dext, Receipt Bank or Hubdoc would be beneficial but not essential
Work Arrangement:
- The role is a hybrid arrangement, Part-time (25 hours per week per week over 5 days) with the ability to work from home when appropriate
- At least one day per week will be spent on site at a client in the inner suburbs of Melbourne
