Atlas Administration Services provides outsourced bookkeeping, payroll and HR admin, acting as an extension of their clients’ teams.
A WA family business, they are seeking a Part TimeBookkeeping Operations and Client Services Manager to lead a team of technical staff and to liaise with clients. Values are at the forefront - we are looking for a strong operational leader with a passion for people and for service. Part time and flexible, this is ideal for someone with strong experience who wants to work Part Time.
A background in bookkeeping or accounting is ideal, with experience supporting remote teams to deliver great work. The successful candidate will communicate clearly, warmly and professionally. They will combine an understanding of systems and processes, financial acumen and strong leadership to create a warm culture of support, where people feel valued and able to collaborate on solutions. This person will also be on the front foot with clients, delivering a great experience all round.
Qualifications & experience
- A background in bookkeeping, finance or accounting
- Demonstrated leadership/people management experience with a strong values focus, and a passion for team engagement and supportive leadership
- Demonstrated understanding of the operational intricacies of running small businesses
- Excellent relationship management skills both for people leadership and Client relationship management
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Intermediate XERO knowledge and skills
- Knowledge of Power BI (desirable but not essential)
- Strong IT skills and knowledge of systems/systems improvement
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to both interpret data and recognize inconsistencies or items that require further scrutiny
- Strong problem solving skills, verbal and written communication and organised with ability to meet deadlines
Tasks & responsibilities
- Lead the Client Delivery Team to ensure smooth end-to-end preparation and delivery of client work, which includes bookkeeping, payroll administration, business process optimization and financial reporting
- Conduct weekly Work-In-Progress (WIP) meetings with each Team Member to ensure accurate completion of tasks and coordinate upcoming workflow, and that each Team Member feels supported and able to escalate questions and technical uncertainties
- Conduct quarterly performance review and development meetings with each Team Member and foster their growth and development
- Liaise with clients and ensure they have a fantastic experience with our team and services
- Occasional client account management
- Regular reporting to the Head of Client Success and Technical Advisor
- Systems improvement – identify and implement efficiencies, new systems (if/when required)
- Spot check client financial reports and team work outputs for accuracy and correctness
- Escalate technical questions and issues as and when required to the Technical Advisor
- Other tasks as directed
