The Coolangatta Hotel is seeking a passionate and experienced Breakfast Cook or Chef to join the team who is committed to providing great meals to our customers. We are seeking a passionate cook who loves preparing quality meals and can multitask in a busy, organised kitchen.
As a Cook / Chef, your day to day duties will include assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef with:
- Preparing and cooking food
- Portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding garnishes and sauces
- Ensuring all meals are of high quality and are prepared in a timely manner
- Utilising a variety of fresh, frozen and prepared ingredients to prepare, cook and present a range of dishes according to a seasonal menu
- Practicing effective stock rotation and wastage minimisation procedures
- Assisting our team in maintaining an efficient and proactive kitchen operation
- Assisting with menu changes when required
