Building Compliance Officer

Location:  Tamworth, NSW

THE OPPORTUNITY

  • Coordinate all Compliance and Asset Related Inspections and Works

The Building Services Division of Tamworth Regional Council has an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join this dedicated team to coordinate all compliance and assets related inspections and works associated with the maintenance of Council’s buildings and the infrastructure associated with building assets.

Reporting directly to the Technical Officer of Building Services, your key duties will include:

  • Providing specialist technical advice to operational staff
  • Managing the delivery of projects
  • Planning, programming and reviewing capital and operational works
  • Monitoring and reporting on budgets
  • Working closely with community groups and committees

To be successful you will bring to this position:

  • Demonstrated project planning and management skills coupled
  • An understanding of building compliance management requirements
  • Experience in preparing and controlling operational budgets
  • The ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
  • A dedicated and committed approach to delivering solutions
  • Advanced Diploma and/or Certificate Qualification in a relevant field
  • A current driver licence

Salary range: Grade 14 - $79,055.75- $85,541.55 per annum plus superannuation and for a 35 hour work week. Salary may be negotiated based on skills, experience and your value to our organisation.

Flexible working arrangements will be considered by mutual agreement and according to operational requirements.
