We have a fantastic opportunity for a Business Administration Officer to join our team. The successful candidate with have an emphasis on excelling in customer service. You will contribute to the achievement of business objectives in the Roads, Traffic and stormwater Group by providing business, administrative, clerical and customer service support to Managers, Coordinators and team members within the Group and their internal and external Customers.
You will ensure your work and activities consistently meet the targets and commitments of your individual or team performance plans, the needs of the Group and Council's Operations and Stategic Plans. You will facilitate and participate in collaboration across the Group and Council in solving problems and developing solutions.
Essential Criteria
- Higher School Certificate and/or tertiary qualifications in business administration or equivalent.
- Significant experience in providing business, administrative, clerical and customer service support in a technical service environment.
- Knowledge & skills in contemporary office management practices and business systems.
- Ability to self-manage a high and varied workload, multitask, work calmly under pressure, organize priorities, meet deadlines and take initiative.
- Well developed ICT skills including experience in using technologies and corporate systems in a service environment and ability to learn new systems and provide guidance and instruction to staff in their use.
- Highly developed interpersonal & communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- High level of attention to detail.
- A strong customer service ethic.
- Flexable attitude to responsibilities and work hours.
- Experience with purchase Orders, Invoicing and Paying complex Utilities Bills.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience in development and execution of improvement initiatives or continuous improvement.
- Current NSW Class C Driver's Licence.
- Diploma or Degree qualifications in relevant area.
- Tech One experience.

- Provide effective secretariat services for various committees, staff and/or external stakeholder meetings.
- Provide comprehensive business support for group responsibilities and activities.
- Provision of valued clerical and administrative services to the group.
- Provision of high quality customer service.
- Through sound work practices, ensure the efforts and outcomes of the position's activities reflect the group's overall objectives and priorities.
- Undertake other tasks and duties as required consistent with the principal objectives and responsibilities of the position.
