The Business Analyst (BA) will work within a complex environment and be responsible for upholding the Centre of Excellence practices for the Business Analysis team. The BA will work within a collaborative and supportive team to develop project artefacts that support an Agile delivery model.
The BA is responsible for understanding the business problem, eliciting requirements and refining these into testable features and user stories. The BA will present information in a number of ways to suit different audiences, including journey mapping, wireframing and persona profiles.
The Business Analyst should be brave about introducing new or external ideas, have diverse experience, and global perspectives, and be willing to explore innovative ways of working.
How you can help us make a difference
The BA responsibilities include:
- Take responsibility for understanding client requirements, collecting data, delivering analysis and problem resolution.
- Select appropriate techniques and tools to develop user stories and elicit user experience requirements in complex situations.
- Collaborate with, and facilitate stakeholder groups, as part of formal or informal requirements gathering.
- Adopt a holistic view to identify and analyse wide-ranging problems and opportunities.
- Analyse and design business processes to identify alternative solutions to improve efficiency, effectiveness and exploit new technologies and automation.
- Develop graphical models of business processes to facilitate understanding and decision-making.
- Plan and drive scoping, requirements definition and prioritisation activities for large, complex initiatives.
- Obtain input from, and agreement to requirements from a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Identify and describe the design goals for systems, products, services and devices.
- Specify measurable criteria for the required usability and accessibility of systems, products, services and devices.
Please note: Salaries in the department are provided through its Enterprise Agreement. Additional remuneration may also be provided through Individual Flexibility Arrangements (IFA). These IFAs can be negotiated prior to commencement.
