Business Analyst - Sharepoint Online
We have an initial 12 month contract for an experienced Business Analyst, with experience in Sharepoint Online, to join a large government department on their Information Management (IM) Program for the SharePoint to Cloud Project. Your expertise will be key in migrating existing SharePoint 2016 content to SharePoint Online, influencing the design and implementation of a new intranet, and elevating user experience and interaction.
What You Will Do:
- Provide leadership and hands-on business analysis skills to ensure the successful delivery of the SharePoint to Cloud project. Take charge of gathering and documenting current state information to inform the transition to the new intranet.
- Successfully complete documents for business and user functional requirements, ensuring alignment with project standards and schedules.
- Consult, liaise, and collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and end users to address all aspects of the project deliverables.
- Manage the resolution of business-related issues by researching policies, procedures, assessing impacts, developing options, and providing recommendations to project stakeholders.
- Develop business proposals, identify improvement opportunities, and conduct system analysis to contribute to the overall success of the project.
SharePoint to the Cloud specific accountabilities:
- Obtain input from, and provide assistance to, business areas for the current to future mapping based on the SharePoint Online architecture
- Engage and direct business on SharePoint on-premise content clean-up tasks
- Assist in the creation and ongoing updates of the SharePoint Online migration plan and Teams Site migration dates.
- Define requirements and use cases for SharePoint applications.
- Prepare Transition to Support documentation based on current processes and engagement with stakeholders
- Draft new process maps for Governance and forms/workflow.
What You Need to Apply for This Role:
- 5-10+ years demonstrated experience in gathering and completing business requirements and functional requirements for IT applications/solutions.
- Previous experience with forms and/or workflow solutions, preferably in a SharePoint environment and demonstrated skills in SharePoint, Visio, Word, and Excel.
- Previous experience with Power BI and large information technology projects is a plus.
- Demonstrated analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to work in a team environment and develop effective working relationships with team members, business representatives, and implementation partners.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in a large and complex organisation as well as previous experience gathering and documenting business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
- Demonstrated business analysis abilities, stakeholder management, and coordination skills, with a strong focus on detail.
