We have an opportunity available for a Business Analyst to join our growing company! This will be offered as a 12-month full-time contract, based at our office on Collins Street, Melbourne. Benefits of working with us include:

About The Role

In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing existing business processes and systems in order to recommend actions that will standardise key processes and deliver improved efficiencies to the Transaction Services team. A key focus of this role will be to document current processes and systems and to map out future state to-be processes and procedures that will assist the team to deliver transactional services that will support continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Requirements gathering and analysis
  • Facilitating workshops and conducting interviews to establish an understanding of business processes and needs.
  • Analysing data, processes, and information with ability to clearly articulate findings to the business to assist with decision making.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to document processes and transaction workflows.

2. Process documentation and evaluation

  • Creating detailed process documentation and diagrams using language that is understood by business teams.
  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate process change and/or new technologies that may better support business needs.

3. Stakeholder and project management

  • Support monitoring and reporting of project deliverables. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders to understanding needs and promote corporate policies and policy compliance.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration within Transaction Services team and other business stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Corporate IT to ensure that system changes or proposed solutions meet business requirements.

4. Change Management and Training

  • Identify change impacts resulting from process improvements or system implementations and provide input into change initiatives. 
  • Support development of change management plans, including training materials and user documentation.
  • Support and conduct training sessions and provide ongoing support to drive adoption of new processes and systems. 

5. Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented process and solutions, identifying areas for improvement and optimisation.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. 
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of business analysis methodologies, tools, and business templates.

About You

This opportunity will suit an individual who is adaptable to a dynamic environment, and who has strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Degree qualification in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with demonstrated experience of working with finance systems/ERPs.
  • Proficiency in requirements gathering, process mapping and documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to co-ordinate and manage multiple initiatives concurrently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain processes clearly and concisely.
  • Prior experience in business integration and transformation initiatives, including project governance, is highly desirable.
