We are seeking a motivated Business Development Manager to join our Melbourne Office. Reporting to the Management Team, you will have full responsibility to ensure your clients are well catered for and all their service expectations are exceeded.

Role requirements:
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in driving the growth of our business by identifying and cultivating new business opportunities within the Freight Forwarding sector. This position requires a strategic and critical thinker that can achieve sales targets, build and maintain client relationships, and staying abreast of industry trends.
Your sales approach is consultative in nature, seeking to nurture and understand how business can add value to clients and prospects alike. You have an ability to work inclusively with internal operations to achieve a result for both client and company.
Skills Required:
- Minimum 3 + years’ experience in the Freight Forwarding Industry
- Identify and pursue new business prospects within the Freight Forwarding sector
- Develop and implement strategic effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets
- Autonomous responsibility of individuals performance
- Possess a high-level of communication skills - both written and verbal
- Able to manage time productively in researching, growing and maintaining a healthy pipeline and proactive in all forms of meetings, both internal and client facing
- A professional mindset and ability to build strong rapport and relationships
- Able to contribute ideas into the growing business, use initiative and apply presentation skills
- Maintain effective CRM reporting and meet KPI’s/budgets
- Work collaboratively with the Business Development team to ensure successful execution of Sales plans
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial terms
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities
Job Description:
Reporting to the Management Team you will be required to build a dynamic set of growth opportunities. Your strong experience in the International Freight Forwarding sector will ensure you have the depth of knowledge to develop and take ownership of your pipeline. You will demonstrate the ability to generate new business opportunities, leads, and accounts as well as maintaining targeted growth and development of the client portfolio. You will endeavour to achieve targets and KPI's set to achieve results.
The successful applicant will possess proven experience in the logistics industry. You will have knowledge of International Freight, the desire & ability to work independently and most importantly the ability and focus to secure business.
