About the Role:

GX Outdoors are seeking an enthusiastic Business Development Manager (BDM) to join the team. As a BDM you will play a pivotal role in driving the sales and Business Development initiatives throughout the Victorian region.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • End-to-End Opportunities: take ownership of Good for GX Outdoors opportunities, managing the entire lifecycle from the initial discovery meeting to successful closure.
  • Sales Performance: manage and lead customer face-to-face meetings maximising opportunity to exceed activity and sales budget targets.
  • Relationship Management: build impeccable relationships with clients, presenting the GX Outdoors products effectively and offering tailored solutions. Maintain and nurture these relationships through effective account management practices.
  • Document Management: ensure accurate and updated notes of client interactions in Hubspot, maintain the database for quotes, call records, and customer call cycles, and proactively communicate any changes to processes to the HSEQ Manager.
  • Market Insight: stay informed about general market trends, proposed and future developments, and industry reports.

About You:

  • Minimum of 3 years previous experience within a BDM role
  • High level of commercial acumen
  • Demonstrated experience in B2B selling
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with superior attention to detail
  • Strong strategic thinking, negotiation, planning, and organisational skills
  • Strong customer service skills, including the nurture and maintenance of customer relationships
  • Ability to gather and analyse data, and apply determined outcomes
  • Understanding and implementation of consultative selling
