Role Description:

iBuildNew.com.au is a leading Prop-Tech business in the new home sector of the property market. For 10 years the platform has helped Australian's search and compare project home builders and new land estates from around the country, ultimately generating quality leads for builders and land developers.

As the National Business Development Manager (BDM) you will lead our B2B sales efforts to grow our portfolio of customers, push into new markets we are yet to penetrate, and be the key face to the market for iBuildNew.com.au. 

With a focus on B2B sales to major home builders and land developers you will form strong and long-term relationships with our key customers and prospects across the major markets of Australia (Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth), and as a result you will be expected to travel inter-state periodically.

You will be responsible for leading our sales efforts to seek subscription contracts from customers (for new home and estate listings) and software licenses (for our house & land packaging and publishing platform), delivering the targeted revenue growth for the business. You will be responsible for driving prospective customers through the entire sales process from the top 100 volume home builders and land developers (including project marketers) across the country.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop and maintain a target list of prospective customers that will enable you to successfully secure new business for iBuildNew.com.au.
  • Build new relationships at multiple levels within the target clients, and sell the iBuildNew value proposition to interested parties, including online advertising and our house & land packaging software (as part of the subscription).
  • Negotiate contracts with prospective builders and land developers that deliver long term revenue and value to the business.
  • For new accounts work closely with our National Accounts Manager who will manage the set up and implementation, and the ongoing quarterly account reviews to discuss performance from the platform and other market insights.
  • Support the National Account Manager when needed in the renegotiation of contracts with key customers as and when they approach their expiry dates, generally seeking upgrades for iBuildNew to higher tier packages.
  • Listen to and capture the needs of the builders or land developer prospects you are working with to make considered product development (website) enhancements to Product Team.

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in sales and relationship management is critical, ideally in a B2B environment.
  • Exposure to the home building or land developer sector (or general real estate) is preferred.
  • You will need to be a self-starter, have the ability to work autonomously, be highly motivated and driven for success, with a passion for technology and innovation.
  • Tertiary qualified candidates with minimum five years work experience are preferred.
  • We support flexible work arrangements, and as such you will work partly from our modern Melbourne office and partly from home. As you are required to travel to customer sites your own vehicle and license is essential.
