About the role:
Lumia Care is inviting applications for a proactive and outcome-oriented Business Development Managerto drive our mission of expanding quality support and the company's presence across Melbourne and in other regions of Victoria.
As part of our team based in Hawthorn, Victoria, you’ll spearhead our efforts to grow our presence in the disability sector, identifying new opportunities and forging pivotal partnerships. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role is key to our strategic expansion and enhancing our service offerings.
Key Responsibilities are:
- Develop and execute a Business Development plan in collaboration with the Chief Operating Officer, focusing on national expansion.
- Lead the charge in market research, networking, and relationship building to uncover new business avenues.
- Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders including government agencies and community organizations.
- Keep a pulse on industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to strategise effectively.
- Drive revenue growth, hitting and exceeding targets through new initiatives.
- Champion our expansion into new markets and service lines, contributing to increased market share and partnership development.
- Serve as the initial point of contact for potential NDIS or disability clients, ensuring a seamless introduction to Lumia Care’s services.
- Craft proposals, engage in contract negotiations, and represent our company at industry events to elevate our brand presence.
What We’re Looking For:
- A history of success in Business Development, sales, or marketing roles, preferably within the disability support sector.
- Strong negotiation, persuasion, and networking skills, combined with the ability to spot and seize new business opportunities.
- Deep understanding of the disability support landscape, including regulatory requirements and funding mechanisms.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas to varied audiences.
- A demonstrated ability to forge lasting relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Analytical prowess, leadership qualities, and a collaborative spirit are essential.
