About the role and team
We have an exciting opportunity for a BD & Events Co-ordinator to join our growing team.
The Business Development, Marketing and Communications section is a national team of over 20 people, with a broad set of skills and experience across client engagement, branding and design, bid management, copywriting, event strategy and planning, digital marketing and media relations.
Based in Perth, this is a full time role, with a focus on supporting the marketing and administration requirements of the Director as well as the national team. The role is also responsible for the delivery of Hall & Wilcox’s Perth-based client and major employee events.
Key responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- supporting the broad team on ad hoc Business Development, marketing and practice development strategies, and actioning outcomes;
- supporting directory and award submissions, including managing the recording of submission results;
- creating and updating marketing content, including credentials, brochures and CVs;
- supporting marketing activities with relevant business and industry associations, including events, sponsorships and merchandise / collateral;
- assisting with client, industry or practice specific research;
- co-ordinating logistics of all Perth client events;
- working with the Events Manager and BD team on guest lists for Perth client events;
- working with the Events Manager and BD team to develop event concepts with partners and senior lawyers in Perth;
- working with Events Manager to provide a post-event report; and
- general administration, including travel bookings, and expense and invoice processing.
Skills and experience
We are keen to hear from candidates with the following skills and experience:
- tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline;
- excellent administration skills;
- event experience, ideally having worked in-house or in the hospitality sector;
- experience working in and supporting a high-performing team;
- knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (essential);
- ability to multi-task, meet tight deadlines and work under pressure;
- proactive and strong problem-solving abilities;
- ability to work autonomously and interact in a team environment;
- ability to interact at all business levels; and
- excellent written and verbal communication skills.
