Whether their customers' freight originates or terminates in international cities, small towns, or remote communities, they utilise their network of Road, Rail, Air + Sea to service the areas of National Freight Management, Warehousing + Distribution, International Freight Management and Project Logistics. With a strong investment in their International Freight arm of the business, there is a new opening for a Business Development Executive - International to join the team in Sydney’s Smithfield.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Develop new sales strategies to propel the business forward.
  • Seek out new business opportunities in the international market.
  • Maintain and grow accounts, ensuring client satisfaction by analysing accounts to understand their challenges
  • Provide customers with essential information and training tailored to their needs.
  • Strive to exceed sales targets, KPIs, customer satisfaction, retention, and face-to-face visits.
  • Actively monitor and report on competitor activities and industry trends to stay ahead.
 
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Prior experience and knowledge in the International Freight industry, with a proven history of establishing key relationships, ideally in sales.
  • Experience in negotiating with customers and shipping agents
  • Knowledge of the logistics and warehousing industry
  • Demonstrated track record in achieving sales targets
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with in-house CRM software packages.
 
About you:
The right candidate has a strong foundation in industry knowledge and is eager to enhance their sales expertise. Within a team of two, directly under the NSW BDM, this role is a prime opportunity for personal growth through direct mentorship by a senior sales manager, focusing on boosting the company’s share in the international freight market.
