The Role
This role will have the responsibility to successfully initiate and develop business opportunities with new and existing customers. This role will develop and manage their individual portfolio and work in a collaborative small team environment. This role will also be responsible for prospecting, reaching out to referrals, and B2B selling to generate sales.
High energy and a passion for sales would see you excel at this role. This is an on the road, visit our customers, meet new people and develop new business role!
Responsibilities:
Growth
- Proactively identify, pursue and maintain a constant pipeline of potential customers to meet or exceed sales KPIs.
- Gain and maintain access to decision makers via a disciplined and structured prospecting regime, including cold calling, networking, attending tradeshows, and social media.
- Prepare quotes and contracts that meet specific customer needs.
- Prepare sales presentations and persuasively engage with current and prospective customers.
- Accurately track growth opportunities through our customer relation management (CRM) tool.
- Create effective sales strategies by gathering market intel and capitalising on opportunities; identifies and reports on trends in the market including pricing and innovations.
- Work closely with the SCTR Branch Manager to develop a sales culture within the branch and educate the team on cross collaboration between retail and corporate customer targets.
Customer Focus
- Develop strong, lasting customer relationships by anticipating their requirements and delivering on needs in a professional and proactive manner.
- Manage potential issues and conflicts before they occur.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of customer data, quotes and transactions as required in company systems (Pipedrive).
- Develop and maintain Account Management Plans focussed on medium to high growth customers and maximise repeat business opportunities and referrals. The Business Development Executive is a senior role which will be working to oversees the business sales activity.
