Join our dynamic team as an Internal Business Development Manager at Tourism Portfolio - a leading representation company. We specialize in promoting and driving incentive and meeting opportunities to our overseas destinations and venues within Australia.
The right candidate will have an exciting and diverse role representing some of Australia's best meeting and events venues & will work closely with our DMC partners across New Zealand, Europe, Middle East, South America, Asia & America to assist in selling their exciting range of services to customers who plan international incentive and conference programs.

Responsibilities
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand our portfolio of represented destinations and venues.
- Sales: Utilize your previous sales experience to drive revenue growth through effective communication and negotiation.
- Relationship Building: Develop and nurture strong business relationships with key stakeholders, including international tourism boards, venues, and partners.
- Qualification: Assess and qualify potential business leads to ensure alignment with our company's objectives and standards.
- Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands to provide valuable insights for strategic decision-making.
Requirements
The correct candidates will also possess the below qualities;
- Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Sales Experience: Proven track record in sales, preferably within the tourism or hospitality industry.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Relationship Management: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong, long-lasting business relationships.
- Qualification Skills: Skillful in qualifying leads and assessing business opportunities based on predefined criteria.
- Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently, take initiative, and meet or exceed targets.
- Flexibility: A flexible approach to working hours, with the option to work from home for the right candidate.
- Excellent computer skills in Microsoft word, excel & PowerPoint imperative
