Your New Role
Our Business Development team have an opportunity for an Account Manager to identify, develop and capture on contract growth opportunities within the CIOG landscape. This will includ developing and maintaining key relationships, capturing larger CIOG opportunities and building a pipeline of opportunities in support of growing the business. This includes scheduling critical tasks and managing teams of subject matter experts as well as collaborating with stakeholders to deliver outcomes in accordance with Customer communicated opportunities and or Request for Tender (RFT) conditions.
A “Day in the Life” will see you;
Driving outcomes using the Opportunity process to plan, coordinate and track the progress of the proposal, including the embodiment of key strategies, developing costings, planning reviews and incorporating feedback and soliciting management approvals through the opportunity life-cycle; including post-proposal variations and negotiations. You will also be required to:
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within CIOG
- Develop and maintain relationships with the Defence Industry community
- Attend industry functions with a focus on developing relationships
- Identify short and longer term opportunities to feed into On Contract Growth pipeline
- Provide leadership, coordination and guidance to the proposal team throughout the opportunity cycle including proposal reviews and final production
- Provide structure and process to clarifying scope where opportunities are identified as sole source
- Analyse the Conditions of Tender and plan the sequence of activities in accordance with internal governance ensuring the proposal is competitive, compliant and will be ready for submission on time.
- Provide briefings and guidance to the proposal team throughout the proposal cycle with progress updates and managing collaborative solutions to any arising issues.
- Coordinate timely activity and input into the proposal from team members including the Commercial, Technical, Project and Financial leads
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders for scheduling of reviews
- Work closely with the cost/schedule analysts to establish contract cost and schedule baselines
- Coordinate risk assessments on the solution to identify and mitigate program cost and scheduling risks
- Comply with legislation and Company policies, processes and instructions, including those relating to non-discrimination, environment, safety, duty of care, and the quality management system.
