AddressAtom Resources have partnered with Shopfitting and Fitout contractor focusing on Retail, Hospitality, Office, and Pub/Clubs in the Brisbane region. This company has arms to the business in Victoria, NSW and QLD and due to growth, is looking to find an experienced Estimator / Business Development Manager to step into the team and help accelerate their success!
Your New Role:
In your new role, you will be working alongside the QLD General Manager, you will play a key role in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, this includes attending industry events and networking sessions, actively promoting the company's services, researching potential clients. You will also be involved in proposal and bid management during the initial stages of the project.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Your duties will include:
- Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for projects by analyzing project specifications, conducting take-offs and calculating/considering other relevant factors
- Utilise estimating software and spreadsheets to organise and calculate cost data efficiently
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, architects, designers, and other industry professionals
- Be involved in project planning and coordination during the initial stages
- You will oversee the preparation and submission of proposals and bids
- Provide Leadership and Guidance to the Sales and Estimating team
- Negotiating contracts and terms with clients
- Trades background, design background and or tertiary education will be highly regarded
- Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and equipment
- Estimating and/or project management experience preferable but not necessary
- Ability to analyze and interpret plans/drawings
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
- People person that is great at relationship management
- Self-starter that shows initiative
- Knowledge of Construction management software a plus
