• SALARY $120K - $140K [DEPENING ON EXPERIENCE] + SUPER + CAR ALLOWANCE
• 3+ YEARS OF SALES / BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXPERIENCE IN FREIGHT FORWARDING REQUIRED

Our client is an emerging player in the transport and logistics industry here in Australia. With headquarters in Dubai, they have offices in China, India, Netherlands & Turkey. As a fast-growing freight forwarder, they are committed to becoming the agile leader in emerging market logistics.

Their software systems offer the best-in-class support for information requirements of our supply chain customer. Current global services include ocean freight, air freight, road freight, customs clearances, warehousing & contract logistics and project logistics.

THE ROLE

As a Business Development Manager, you will connect shippers (customers who need their cargo shipped from point A to point B) with carriers (the companies with the trucks used to haul the freight), while negotiating a deal that is beneficial to all parties.

• Spearhead and launch a new business selling across airfreight/seafreight, import and export and be an integral part of the wider sales team.
• Develop innovation to support existing customer relationships.
• Build a strong sales pipeline in terms of revenue and volume for imports and exports in line with vertical markets & trade lanes.
• Engage with senior stakeholders and teams to develop value added solutions.
• Contribute to overall plans, strategies, budgets, and performance reviews.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We require candidates who are passionate, honest and with perseverance abilities with a vision to take customers far and beyond for this we are looking for the following.

• 3+ years of sales / Business Development experience in Freight Forwarding.
• Have passion in building genuine relationships with customers.
• Communicate across stakeholder (managers, customers & staff).
• Flexible, resilient, and capable of adapting to changing environments.
• Conflict resolution, negotiation skills within the shipping and airlines industry, will be an advantage.
• A creative approach and demonstrate capabilities in building effective sales pipeline, taking into consideration challenging Pandemic circumstances.
• A teamwork-oriented mindset to ensure strong collaboration within the group.
• Knowledge of CargoWise is preferred.
