We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in PARKROYAL Darling Harbour and Parramatta. This is a great opportunity to work within a strong team and develop your career in a supportive and fun environment.

The successful candidate will:

• Managing existing clients, whilst proactively canvassing for new business opportunities
• Selling to the group and MICE markets
• Actively promoting, generating leads, and cross selling across the Pan Pacific Hotels Group portfolio and work with team members to maximise opportunity
• Working collaboratively with National and Global Sales Teams in selling all facets of Pan Pacific Hotels Group including Rooms, Food & Beverage, and other incremental revenue. 
• Driving our success in achieving corporate sales goals by generating new business and growing existing business to achieve budgets
• Provides customer intelligence in evaluating the market and economic trends that may lead to changes in sales strategies
• Communicates and works closely with National and Global Sales Teams to identify need periods and secure new business 
• Actively promote the hotel at networking events in the region, developing strong relationships and creating partnerships to further increase brand awareness.
• Develop strong community and public relations by maintaining property participation in local, regional and national tradeshows and client events

Ideally you will have:

• Experience in sales function in a hotel environment or tourism industry (preferred)
• Results orientated and motivated personality 
• Ability to work and thrive in a team environment of successful hospitality professionals
• Exposure to a variety of markets including corporate and government segments (favourable)
• Proven track record in generating revenue within a corporate sales function
• Experience in managing key client relationships
• Strong presentation, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to persuade and obtain "buy-in" from both internal and external stakeholders
