About the role
We are currently looking for a Business Development Manager to support the growth of our operational technology solutions and services business. Your role is to build relationships with new and existing clients, understand their problems and become a respected, trusted advisor.
Key to your success is your ability to bring people together, build relationships and develop new business in an affable and professional manner.
You will identify, research, strategise, and convert market opportunities into long lasting relationships based on trust, mutual respect and eventually, a strong track record. You understand and live by the fact that what is good for our client, is good for Mipac.
Key responsibilities will include:
Develop and implement growth strategies and sales plans within nominated industries and/or regions
Initiate and drive the whole procurement cycle, from identifying potential clients through to executing contracts
Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of the client organisation
Evaluate client requirements and developing a solution to meet their needs
Create and manage an account development plan for each nominated account
Represent Mipac at exhibitions and conferences
About you; what you bring to the table:
7+ years’ experience in a business development role selling operational technology or industrial software-based solutions to industrial end users. Experience selling historian and/or advanced software solutions and services would be highly regarded.
Sound operational understanding of one or more of Mipac’s key vertical markets. Mining, Minerals and Metals experience/knowledge would be highly regarded.
Demonstrated success in a complex solution selling role in one or more of Mipac’s key vertical markets.
The ability to work collaboratively with multiple sales channels and support functions
A customer focused mindset
