We are looking for an Industrial Gearbox Salesperson in Western Australia who has a thorough knowledge of where Industrial Gearboxes are used in the mining, minerals process and other industries in WA.
The individual needs to be oriented to take on a Sales/Business Development role in the region, be a self-disciplined person, a high achiever with excellent communication skills and have a willingness to travel to visit various sites.
DONLY AUSTRALIA
The unique feature of Donly Australia is that we are able to supply completely new Gearboxes, with a 3 year warranty, in exactly the same footprint as an existing old Flender, Sumitomo Hansen, David Brown, Falk, SEW or Bevini Gearboxes for less that it cost to repair them and usually with a higher mechanical rating. We have been doing this for some 20 years in Australia and have hundreds of very successful applications. The largest, weighing 24 ton.
ABOUT DONLY & OUR TEAM
Donly Australia is part of the Donly international team which is a public company employing roughly 4,000 people, manufacturing and selling industrial Gearboxes world-wide. We have a complete range of Standard Gearboxes based on the DIN standard which includes Helical, Bevel Helical, Planetary, Geared Motors, Vertical Drives and Specials.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identifying sales opportunities for our core mechanical power transmission equipment (industrial gearboxes) in Western Australia.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Proactive approach to sales and lead generation.
- Achievement focused attitude with demonstrated success in exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- A high level of self-motivation, initiative, and proactivity.
- Able to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude and solving issues in a timely manner.
- Highly skilled on computers and with general technology.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- FuII driver's licence.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Minimum education of a mechanical trades apprenticeship with a qualification relating to fitting/machining/maintenance/diesel fitter.
- A degree/qualification in science-based areas but must have included a practical workshop and hands-on industrial/maintenance experience.
- Proven sales experience working within the mining, minerals processing and materials handling industries, including suppliers of equipment used in industries.
- Proven experience in identification and tendering for gearboxes required for new projects.
- Proven track record in generating sales growth through new accounts.
- Experienced in business-to-business sales.
- Highly skilled in understanding the applications of, and consumers of, industrial gearboxes, as well as the criteria used to select the appropriate size and type of gearbox.

- A fantastic base salary of $150,000 + super and benefits. Reflective of skills and experience.
