SocialProtect (https://socialprotect.world) is a worldwide app that provides real-time deletion of abusive comments on the social media posts of our users. Together with our in-app Education Hub, we lead the way in providing safety, security and an abuse-free environment for athletes, celebrities, businesses and communities.
Our app detects abusive or spam comments in 100 languages, deleting those comments less than a second after they're made, protecting the public and our users.
Our app is being used by major sports teams and other prominent individuals in Australia, the US and Europe.
Now, we are looking to grow and expand our range and number of users.
Role Description
This is a full-time, ideally Sydney or Melbourne-based (but remote/work from home) role for a Business Development Manager. You’ll operate remotely with an ability to travel to secure new sales as needed.
You will be responsible for engaging our existing network, using your own contacts in sports, education or businesses requiring online protection from abuse, and engaging new potential customers and partners.
You will feel strongly about wanting to prevent online abuse, educate on eSafety or bring innovative technical solutions to the widest audience. You'll be confident talking to senior executives, leading athletes and clubs, and schools.
You will have a demonstrated history of securing sales, preferably in the tech industry or in sports, eSafety or education. We want someone to convert our existing leads but you will also use your own network to generate new business.
One thing is for sure - you'll be a motivated, self-starter that handles all aspects of the job.
You will have realistic KPls to achieve based on our success to date. We are a tech start-up, so expect this role to be part sales, part training, part presenting, part marketing and part admin. You will have a supportive team alongside you, from our technical experts through to our advocates, ambassadors and a proactive, team-oriented leadership.
