UQ College (UQC) is reengaging with its institutional and government agency partners to strategically grow enrolments in standalone ELICOS programs, VET programs and discipline specific customised programs that drive revenue growth for UQC.
This position will be responsible for the engagement with domestic and international partners to evaluate and secure program opportunities for UQC across multiple markets and sectors.
The position will also build internal stakeholder partnerships and coordination, including with:
- UQ faculties and schools to secure academic input for the delivery of discipline specific customised and short course programs and promote UQC’s English for Academic Communication (EAC) concurrent support program to increase the uptake by UQ students.
- UQ Marketing and Communications, who are the custodians of the UQ master brand.
- UQ Future Students (marketing, recruitment, and communications) whose remit is to market and recruit pathway students for UQC.
The position will involve regular domestic and international travel.
Duties
- Implement recruitment and partner engagement plans to achieve recruitment targets for UQC’s standalone English language courses, VET programs, and customised/short course programs.
- Promote UQC’s brand awareness internally and in market to build and manage short, medium, and long-term sales pipeline in relation to UQC’s non-pathway student targets.
- Build and manage relationships with ELICOS-only agents and partners including client institutions, corporations, and government agencies.
- Prepare program proposals and lead client related visits, including visitor itineraries and hospitality.
- Support broader UQ student recruitment activities, including delivery of UQC masterclasses, virtual engagement events, information sessions, visits, outreach activities, campus experiences and other activities.
- Support Future Students to achieve recruitment targets for pathway programs where appropriate.
Reporting Relationships
The position reports to the Senior Manager, Business Development, UQ College.

- A postgraduate degree in a relevant area and at least five years of experience in education, client relationship building and Business Development, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/ training.
- Extensive experience in marketing and Business Development in the education industry across international and domestic markets, with an entrepreneurial approach to identifying and generating opportunities.
- Proven experience in developing plans aligned to strategy and achieving ambitious targets.
- Extensive knowledge of practices, issues, and challenges in the education sector.
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to draft a high standard of written copy including letters, reports, and project related documents.
- Strong cross-cultural understanding and ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of clients from different cultural backgrounds.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
