This Business Development Manager (BDM) Small Business Broker role will focus on acquiring and maintaining new/existing customers by increasing broker activation, including the establishment of new broker relationships, and lifting broker capability to ensure growth in Small Business lending up to $1,5M.
About the role
You will work in collaboration with Nab Broker, Aggregator/Lend PM/BDM's & Commercial Broker BDM to identify and generate new Lending of any NAB group products.
With the ability to engage with brokers across all levels, you will also be responsible for:
- Increase activation of Brokers (new and existing) in commercial needs
- Identify new business and referral opportunities in addition to establishing, developing and utilising networks of internal and external contacts to achieve volume growth;
- Deliver on growth targets and new business lending drawdowns;
- Assist in the education of brokers to develop their Small Business lending opportunities and drive new business opportunities;
- Working with brokers to generate greater share of customer wallet and group product penetration;
- Proactively manage key broker relationships, monitor performance of account groups and initiate actions to drive new business opportunities;
- Advocacy of 3rd party markets and the broader broker partnerships across the enterprise;
- Identify business improvement opportunities;
- Manage the profitability and credit risk of new business acquired, monitoring and identifying potential risk and trends.
About you:
- Prior relationship management skills and proven sales results
- Previous consumer & business lending experience
- An understanding of the Broker industry
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Business or similar discipline is desirable
Strong communication, effective negotiation and business acumen is also required, together with high levels of time management and prioritisation skills.
