Business Development Manager

Our company has been operating for over 20 years, and major offers a wide range of engineering solutions for the transmission industry, as well as specializing in providing quality coupling, casting, and crusher products to the global mining, and quarrying industries throughout Australia, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

We are now offering a Permanent Full Time Position with long-term job security. This is a unique opportunity for someone who seeks the flexibility to work from a home office and a lucrative base + uncapped commissions the earning potential is almost limitless

You will be responsible for reporting to the Director of International Business Development with a dotting line to the General Manager,

The role's key accountabilities will be: 
Actively seeking out sales opportunities for new equipment (ie: daily cold calling/prospecting for new business). For this reason, we would also consider applications from those with a telemarketer/telemarketing background who are passionate about moving into a client-facing sales position, provided they also have reasonable mechanical aptitude.
Presenting quotations and proposals to new and existing clients;
Working closely with the Technical and service team to ensure client’s expectations are met; 
Helping to organise, and attend, trade shows and related networking activities
Continually keeping the Client Information Collection Form up to date to reflect the activities you have performed within your region
Meeting market share expectations and other KPI's provided by Management
Travel both domestically and internationally to represent the interests of the company.
Engage with industry consultancies and affiliates for market research and BD opportunities.
Submit activity and result reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual regional analyses, to keep management informed of the situation.
Ensure contract execution, address any issues, and ensure client satisfaction with goods and services.

About You
To be successful in this role you will need to be a trustworthy individual with a high moral code. And as you will be required to travel within your region on your own, you will need to be able to work autonomously.
A previous knowledge or client base in the desired regions will be highly advantageous.
Candidates who are able to work autonomously and are willing to travel will be highly regarded
A confident, courteous, professional and ethical sales approach
A willingness to identify and chase new business opportunities
A high motivational drive to meet and exceed sales targets
A demonstrated industrial/mechanical sales history
An appreciation or of Power Transmission products and Mining-related equipment, such as crushers, screening, belt conveyors, etc.
