Job description

The Role:
We are hiring a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join the growing team. You will be playing a crucial role in mapping out the market and expanding our client base within the hospitality industry and beyond. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of a rapidly emerging company while representing a portfolio of top-quality textile products. As the Business Development Manager, you will join the team initially in a part-time capacity however this role comes with the potential of becoming full-time.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct market mapping within the hospitality industry and related sectors, identifying key players, market trends, and potential opportunities.
  • Utilise various channels such as networking, cold calling, email outreach, and industry events to prospect and generate leads, ensuring a good pipeline of potential clients.
  • Initiate and maintain meaningful relationships with decision-makers and stakeholders in hotels, resorts, restaurants, event venues, and relevant industries to drive client engagement.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to tailor solutions that meet clients' specific requirements, ensuring a seamless and satisfactory experience.
  • Take accountability for achieving sales targets, enhancing customer service, and developing and leveraging key relationships to drive the distribution of products.
  • Lead negotiations, prepare proposals, and close deals in alignment with company objectives and revenue targets, ensuring successful deal closure.
  • Continuously monitor market dynamics, competitor activities, and industry developments to gather market insights and identify emerging trends and opportunities for business growth.
  • Provide regular updates on sales activities, pipeline status, and performance metrics, leveraging data-driven insights to optimize strategies and drive results.
  • Actively collaborate within the team, contributing skills and knowledge to business projects as communicated by the leader, fostering a culture of teamwork and innovation.
 Key requirements:
  • Proven track record of successful Business Development and sales experience, with preference given to candidates with experience in the hospitality or textile industry.
  • Strong understanding of sales principles, techniques, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of the Australian market is important.
  • Ability to build rapport with a diverse clientele and navigate complex sales cycles.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for driving business growth.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Willingness to travel as required for business purposes.
