AddressSMS Mining Services, a privately owned West Australian mining contractor founded in 2000, has evolved from equipment rental to encompass maintenance, contract mining, and drill and blast divisions. Our mission is to enhance our reputation in the mining industry.
We are seeking a suitably qualified Business Development Manager to join our team in promoting and selling our Rental, Contract Mining and Maintenance divisions within the mining sector.
The Opportunity:
You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with current and prospective clients, coupled with an innate ability to stay abreast of market and industry trends and understanding of clients needs to identify potential business opportunities.
This role will be based out of our Head Office in Welshpool, with all the necessary tools provided to maintain both intrastate and interstate travel.
About the role:
- Identifying, evaluating and pursuing new business opportunities
- Pursuing leads and moving them through the sales cycle
- Building and maintaining customer relationships with new and existing clients
- Research and develop new business opportunities
- Developing quotes, presentations and sales proposals to prospective clients
- Assist in tendering for future Rental and Contract Mining work
- Attending industry networking events, conferences and other business opportunities to positively represent the company and drive brand awareness
- Update social media accounts with information for current and prospective clients
- There will be an expectation of regular state-wide travel as part of the duties of this role
- Proven track record in a senior sales role within the mining industry
- Trade/Degree qualification is desirable but not essential for the role
- In depth understanding of mining equipment and related technologies
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- High level ability to build and foster relationships
- Valid C Class Manual Driver's License.
