This pivotal role within the Information Technology Services (ITS) department, reporting directly to the Data and Applications Manager, offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in data analysis and reporting to drive actionable insights across the organisation.
About the Role:
As a BI Report Developer, you will play a central role in analysing business data to craft insightful reports and dynamic dashboards, supporting the mission of the Information Management Team to deliver unparalleled data analysis services.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing, maintaining, and enhancing end-user reports utilising Power BI.
- Crafting and refining T-SQL queries and stored procedures in adherence to coding standards.
- Demonstrating proficiency in DAX and Power M to meet user requirements and maintain robust Power BI data models.
- Identifying optimisation opportunities, ensuring data integrity and security, and collaborating with data architects to uphold the integrity of the data warehouse.
- Producing comprehensive user guides, contributing expertise to project teams, and advocating for the adoption of reporting functions for both operational and strategic purposes.
- Fostering a collaborative team environment, championing service excellence, and providing support as needed.
Requirements
- 5 or more years of experience as a BI Developer/Analyst or similar, with a focus on developing and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards.
- 5 or more years of experience with SQL/T-SQL.
- Technical expertise in DAX and Power M.
- Competence in utilising Azure and other tools within the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) would be advantageous.
- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.
- A relevant bachelor's degree or higher tertiary qualification in Computer Science or a related field.
