  • Salary from $118,925 - $131,115 (depending on experience) + 15.4 % superannuation
The teamThe Communications & Corporate Affairs Group is responsible for leading ASIC's communications and stakeholder engagement including internal, corporate and external communications, as well as digital and social channels. Its purpose is to build strategic stakeholder relationships to improve engagement, awareness and understanding of ASIC's mandate.The roleAs a Business Management Lead, you will:
  • Identify and provide timely provision of advice and support in relation to Communications and Corporate Affairs (C&CA) budget, group financial management, project management and business planning.
  • Ensure the C&CA budget is appropriately managed including forecasting, supplier governance, NPPs, coordination and administration of special funds
  • Lead the management of group resource planning and allocation management across C&CA, in collaboration with the leadership team.
  • Manage and administer the C&CA budget management and risk management activity.
  • Work in consultation with the Finance and in line with established policies, practices, and procedures to ensure the C&CA financial information is captured accurately and managed appropriately.
  • Lead, coordinate, and collate material for Internal Audit meetings, disseminating and monitoring audit actions.
  • Partner and work with the Procurement team to complete and administer C&CA procurements.
  • Manage the update and review of business continuity plans and supporting incident management activities.
  • Manage, draft, and coordinate team responses to Questions on Notice, CCUs and other requests for information and prepare for Chief Communications Officer sign off.
  • Lead and coordinate internal and external events for C&CA. including management forums, development sessions, workshops, and team offsites.
  • Oversee management meetings, prepare agendas, and provide secretariat support for the Chief Communication Officer.
  • Manage national travel requests, provide advice and support to delegates on travel including the management of international passports.
About you
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business Management, commerce, business administration.
  • Extensive experience in a corporate or government environment.
  • Demonstrated senior business partnering skills, with the credibility to operate at all levels and earn the trust of colleagues.
  • Strong understanding of data management and governance practises and methodologies.
  • Solid demonstrated experience in business analysis, project management and process improvement.
  • Solid demonstrated experience in documenting data business requirements and processes, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strategic thinking, analytical, investigative and research skills, including data analysis and presentation.
  • Solid understanding of the benefits in developing strategic relationships that partner to ensure the effective use of all available data and information opportunities.
  • Excellent verbal, written, analytical and presentation skills including business case development, data analysis and insight, and report writing.
  • Solid demonstrated experience and ability in organisational, coordination and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in documenting business requirements and processes, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Commitment to service orientation, continuous improvement, and data and research quality standards.
  • Excellent demonstrated experience collaborating and work effectively with other ASIC teams to meet objectives.
  • Solid understanding of ASIC's role within the Government and regulatory context.
