Business Manager, Government & Client Relationships

The Government & Client Relationships (GCR) division is responsible for developing and maintaining broad and robust relationships with our key government stakeholders and clients, partnering with subject matter experts in Investments, Financial Markets and across TCorp to deliver holistic solutions. In recognition of the importance of this work, a new opportunity exists for an experienced Business Manager to partner with the General Manager, GCR in developing and delivering the GCR divisional plan.
Working with key stakeholders across TCorp, the Business Manager will be accountable for establishing and executing TCorp’s whole of NSW Government (WoNSWG) engagement program as well as partnering closely with the IT Division, and subject matter experts across TCorp, to support the development and delivery of a client platform and data work plan.
Key capabilities required for success in this role include:
- proven ability to set, drive and manage divisional strategic objectives and plans, preferably in a government context
- knowledge and understanding of financial markets and investment management, or the willingness and capability to develop that understanding
- strong stakeholder management, negotiating and influencing skills
- strong leadership skills and the ability to build credibility across the organisation
- ability to work collaboratively to achieve corporate goals
- budget management
- high levels of analysis, decision-making and problem-solving skills in a complex environment
- ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing) with committees, management, key stakeholders, clients and other external parties
- strong individual leadership skills with the drive to mentor other team members, and to manage a small team
- ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information
- knowledge of NSW government financial management policy and public sector finance
TCorp would like to hear from tertiary qualified functional business leaders with experience in developing and maintaining high level stakeholder relationships, networks and partnerships, delivering strategy, policy, programs or other significant (government) initiatives. Exposure to and knowledge of IT, or demonstrated interest in developing this knowledge, as well as experience in preparing, reporting, and monitoring budgets, is essential. Experience working in a government environment is desirable.
